About Boston Harbor Cruises

The Boston Harbor Cruises was established in 1926 by Matthew Hughes. Today, it is the largest privately operated passenger vessel company in the USA. It provides whale watching for three hours on high speed Catamarans. For an amazing sightseeing, you can try the sunset cruise, USS Constitution cruise or the historical tour. They also have a ship for private functions that can accommodate 550 passengers.

Boston Harbor Cruises Reviews

Joe Dever
Best Ride to Provincetown
The Fast Ferry to Provincetown is expensive (about $80 RT), but you may find it's worth the price. The ferry is advertised as a 90-minute trip, but it's actually 100 minutes. No problem, because the ride is so enjoyable. The boat is rather large for its type, and has plenty of comfortable indoor seating on two levels. If you don't mind a stiff wind in your face, go up to the outdoor third level for the great view. The amazing view inside Boston Harbor is almost worth the ticket price. A full snack bar, air-conditioning, live TV and an on-board concierge add to the fun. The first boat leaves at 9 am. and on most days there are 4 and 8:30 pm. return trips to Boston. The timing makes for a great day trip to explore the town or spend a few hours at the beach. The ferry usually only sells out a few days during the summer (Fourth of July etc.), so reservations are usually not needed. If it weren't for the price, I 'd give this 5 stars, so I'll give it 4.
