The Cliveden is a historic mansion that was constructed by Benjamin Chew between 1763 and 1767. It is also known as the Benjamin Chew House which was dwelled with by 7 generations of the Chew family in the colonial times, until 1972. The Cliveden historic mansion was delegated as a National Historic Landmark in 1966. The Georgian architecture of the mansion was probably designed by Chew and the master carpenter, Jacob Knor.
