About Ernest Hemingway House

It was the home of Ernest Hemingway from 1931 to 1939. Its official name is the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum. It was delegated as a National Historic Landmark on November 24, 1968. It is now operating as a private and profit oriented landmark. Some of the best works of Ernes Hemingway was written in this house museum which includes “The Snows of Kilimanjaro” and “The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber.”

When in Key West it is a good to at least take in some culture between Rum drinks. Hemingway's House is right down in the market area and is a must see. If you have even a little bit of literary knowledge, say that 8 AM American Lit. class, do yourself a favor and see where Papa lived and died,
