About Kansas City Museum

It was built as a mansion residence for Robert A. Long in 1908. Thatís why itís also known as the R.A. Long House. It was donated to the Kansas City Museum Association in 1939 and initially opened as a museum in 1940. The museum has a broad collection that represent the development of Kansas City from the mid-19th century up to the present time.

Really neat!
With me not being a local, I really enjoyed the history at this museum. I learned a lot about the city and the type of culture it brings. The mansion house is beautiful on the outside, and the inside.
