The King’s Chapel was established in 1686 by Sir Edmund Andros as New England’s foremost Anglican Church during King James II’s reign. It is housed in an 18th century building that was previously known as the Stone Chapel. The architecture of the building is in Georgian style which was constructed in 1749 and designed by Peter Harrison.
