About National Veterans Art Museum - NVAM

It was established in 1981 as a traveling exhibition and was formerly known as National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum. Now, it has a permanent home in Milwaukee along the Chicago’s six corners neighborhood. The museum displays artworks of the veterans from the Vietnam war. From the entrance hall of the museum, you will see a line up of 58,226 dog tags that represent the soldiers who died in the Vietnam War. Many describe the exhibits in the museum as deeply moving.
