About New England Aquarium

In 1962, the plan for the New England began to be principally designed by Peter Chermayeff of Cambridge Seven Associates. The facility opened its doors in 1969. It has over 70 exhibits of aquatic animals found all over the world. The highlight of the exhibits include the Atlantic harbor seals, Northern fur seals, giant pacific octopus, leafy seadragons and lionfish.

New England Aquarium Reviews

Robby Rob
Pretty Good
There were definitely some fun things to see and do and the overall architecture of the building was pretty cool. The kids had fun, and in the end that's all that matters. The large, multi-level tanks were quite impressive and there was a great array of fish and other sea creatures to see. However, if you're traveling to the New England area and are really looking for an aquarium, the Mystic Aquarium down the road in CT is much better and bigger in my opinion. There are shows, and just more to see. This Review Guy says that if you're in Boston, it's not a must-see, but if the weather outside isn't all that great, its worth checking out.
