The Spreckels Theatre was publicly opened in 1912. Its architecture was designed by Harrison Albright. It is located at the center of the theatre district on Broadway. The theatre has 1,463 seating capacity that was a venue for variety shows and motion pictures. It has now evolved into a venue for live performance shows. The theatre has been listed as a National Historic Site in 1973.
