The Institute of Contemporary Art was established in 1936 and was originally named as the Boston Museum of Modern Art. It has moved its galleries for more than thirteen times and currently located in the South Boston Seaport District. Its current building was architecturally designed by Diller Scofido + Renfro. The art institute is dedicated to exhibiting contemporary art and works of emerging artists.
