About The Old North Church

The Old North Church was constructed in 1723, derived its inspiration from the works of Christopher Wren. It is considered to be the oldest active church in Boston and designated as a National Historic Landmark. It is a local church community of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. The Old North Church features a head sculpture of George Washington, which according to the Marquis de Lafayette is the most reminiscent of the likeness of him.
