El Cortez
El Cortez is an apartment hotel which was constructed from 1926 to 1927. When it opened in 1927 it became the tallest building and the most glamorous apartment hotel in San Diego. Its construction became possible with Richard T. Robinson. And Albert R. Walker and Percy Eisen were the commissioned architects for the Churrigueresque design of the building. El Cortez was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.
