Long Beach

Situated just south of Los Angeles, the Port of Long Beach is the second busiest container port in the country, and one of the largest in the world. Long Beach was a popular film destination during the silent film era and remains a busy filming location to this day, due to its nearby Hollywood neighbor. For a unique lodging experience, visitors can stay aboard the RMS Queen Mary, which is now permanently docked in Long Beach’s deep harbor, and features a hotel, shopping venue and maritime museum. Brave visitors can pet sharks and stingrays at the Aquarium of the Pacific, and fishing enthusiasts can visit the Municipal Fly Casting Pool. Rosie’s Dog Beach is a popular location for families traveling with furry companions.
