Portland

Known as the City of Roses for its prolific rose gardens, Portland has the distinction of being one of only three cities in the U.S. with an extinct volcano. It's home to the world's largest urban wilderness park (Forest Park) and the world's smallest park - Mill Ends Park is only 2 feet in diameter. Where other cities may have a "live music capital" distinction, Portland claims another live music feat - the "Capital of Karaoke." Portland owns a vibrant and thriving art community, with local museums and galleries lining the streets of downtown and the Pearl District. The city is also well-known for its abundance of microbreweries and is among the most vegetarian-friendly cities in the country.
